Connect Apple Health
1
Open integrations
From Settings, open Apple Health.
2
Review the explanation
Read which data IronLedger requests and why. Continue to the system permission sheet.
3
Choose permissions
Enable the categories you want to share. Apple controls the permission interface.
4
Sync completed workouts
Enable Auto-sync workouts to write eligible sessions after completion. Use Sync Now to
process completed workouts from the last 30 days.
Energy estimates
IronLedger estimates strength-training energy with:3.5 MET × body weight in kilograms × workout duration in hours
It reads a permitted recent body-weight sample when available, otherwise uses the cached weight or
a 75 kg fallback. The result is an estimate, not a direct measurement of calories burned.
Apple does not let apps reliably display whether every Health write permission is currently
enabled. Manage individual permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Sync and deletion limits
- Apple Health is available only on supported iOS devices.
- A workout must have an end time before it can sync.
- IronLedger avoids writing the same eligible workout twice.
- The app cannot delete HealthKit workouts after writing them. To remove one, open the Health app, go to Browse → Activity → Workouts, find the IronLedger entry, and delete it there.
