Key takeaways
- Your coach writes the program in a spreadsheet, one exercise per row.
- Import the file to turn it into an editable program.
- Export your history as a CSV and send it to your coach.
- Import an updated file to update the program in place.
How do I load my coach’s program?
1
Get the file
Ask your coach for the program as a CSV or Excel file. If they want a starting point, open the
import screen and tap Get the template for a sample workbook with Week, Day, Exercise, Sets,
Reps, Load, and RIR columns.
2
Import it
Open the import screen, tap Choose file, and select the file. You can also tap Paste from a
sheet to paste rows copied from a spreadsheet.
3
Review the preview
Check the weeks, days, exercises, and targets. When IronLedger suggests a library name for an
exercise, keep your coach’s name or use the suggestion, then tap Import.
4
Train
Log each session as usual. Completed sessions go into History.
How do I send my training back?
1
Open the export
On the History tab, tap CSV.
2
Choose a range
Pick Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or Everything, then tap Export.
3
Send the file
Choose mail, messages, or a file app from the share sheet and send the file to your coach.
What happens when my coach updates the program?
Import the updated file. When it matches a program you imported before, IronLedger asks how to bring in the new version. Update in place keeps the weeks you already logged exactly as trained and takes later weeks from the new file. Import as copy leaves the original untouched and adds a copy to your library.Frequently asked questions
