# Programs and templates

> Choose and activate a built-in IronLedger strength program template.

A program organises training into weeks, days, exercises, and working sets. Your active program
drives the next workout shown on the Home tab.

Use a built-in template when its training frequency, equipment, and progression model fit your
current goal. Use a custom or imported program when you already have a plan to follow.

## Built-in templates

IronLedger includes guided setup for several established program structures:

* Push/pull/legs
* Arnold split
* PHUL
* Starting Strength
* 5/3/1
* Bodyweight training
* Heavy Duty
* Blood & Guts

    From the Home or program area, open **Browse Programs** or the template library.

  <Step title="Configure the template">
    Enter the training values requested by the wizard. Review exercise selection and training days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the program">
    Confirm the preview. IronLedger creates the weeks and days and makes the program available to
    activate.
  </Step>

## Program catalogue and progression

The program catalogue can include additional plans with filters for goals, training days,
experience, equipment, split, and style. Review the program's progression summary before loading
it. Some catalogue plans, adaptive progression targets, explanations, and customisation controls
require an active Strength Pro entitlement.

Core workout logging, your completed history, and personal records remain usable without Strength
Pro. IronLedger shows an upgrade prompt when a specific premium control is unavailable.
