# Health Connect on Android

> Understand the current Health Connect controls in IronLedger Android closed testing.

IronLedger shows Health Connect controls on Android, but the current closed-test implementation does
not yet provide the same complete workout and body-weight transfer as Apple Health. Treat the
connection state as preview functionality until the production build confirms data transfer.

## Connect

<Steps>
  <Step title="Update required apps">
    Install the latest IronLedger test build and update Health Connect or the Android system health
    service when your device requests it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the integration">
    In IronLedger Settings, open the Android health integration and continue to permissions.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Grant selected access">
    Review each system permission shown by the device and enable only the access you want to
    provide. A successful connection screen does not guarantee that every data type is being read or
    written in the current test build.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Do not rely on Health Connect as the only record of a completed IronLedger workout during closed
  testing. Confirm the session appears in IronLedger History.
</Warning>

## If it does not connect

* Confirm you are using the Google account enrolled in the closed test.
* Update IronLedger from Google Play.
* Check Health Connect permissions in Android Settings.
* Restart IronLedger after changing system permissions.

<Note>
  Device manufacturer and Android version can change the location and wording of health permission
  screens.
</Note>
