# Profile and units

> Set your IronLedger profile, training experience, goals, and preferred weight units.

IronLedger uses your profile choices to format workouts and make the app easier to use. You can
change these choices later from **Profile** or **Settings**.

## First-run setup

    Select kilograms or pounds. Existing weights are converted for display rather than treated as
    new performances.

    Choose the experience and goal options that best match your current training.

    Continue through the tour to reach the main tabs: Home, History, Analytics, and Profile.

  Unit preferences change how values are displayed. They do not change the underlying workout or
  personal-record history.

## Demo mode

Demo mode provides sample programs and workout history for exploring the app. Clear demo data
before starting your own training log so sample sessions do not appear in your progress views.
